Harry Roger Bosley

AIKEN, SC - Harry Roger Bosley, loving husband of Patricia Ann (Mellotte) Bosley, passed into Jesus’ arms in Aiken, SC on June 13, 2021. He was 77 years old.

     Harry was born in Cumberland, MD on October 19, 1943. He graduated in 1961 from Fort Hill High School where he played sports, but especially loved playing baseball. He was a star first baseman. After high school, he joined the United States Air Force. Once through basic training, Harry returned to Cumberland to marry the love of his life, Pat. Together, they located to Indiana, where Harry served as an aircraft mechanic and rose to the rank of Sergeant. Upon completion of his service, they returned to Cumberland where Harry began a nearly 30-year career in the accounting department of Kelly Springfield Tire Company. In 2006, Harry and Pat retired to Cape Coral, FL and most recently to Aiken, SC.

     Harry was a huge fan of baseball, the Boston Red Sox in particular. He especially enjoyed attending games with family and watching his grandsons’ games. He also played in recreational soft ball leagues in his younger years.

     The passion of Harry’s life was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He enjoyed serving as treasurer and Sunday School teacher at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cumberland for many years. He taught several home Bible studies as well, where countless young people accepted Christ.

     Harry was preceded in death by his father, Harry S. Bosley (Deltona, FL) his mother, Louise G. Renotas (Cumberland, MD), his stepfather, Donald Renotas (Cumberland, MD) and his stepmother, Norma Lea Bosley (Ellicott City, MD). He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia and 3 devoted daughters, Lisa Royce and husband Jeff (phoenix, AZ), Vicki Hallee and husband Todd (Aiken, SC), Patty Wagoner and husband David (Cape Coral, FL); 7 grandchildren Stephen Royce and wife Amanda (Phoenix, AZ), Beth Allen and husband Neil (Phoenix, AZ), Brian Hallee and fiancée Sarah Krisher (Alexandria, VA), Lauri Privot and husband Mike (Aiken, SC), Hannah Wagoner, Nathan Wagoner and Jennah Wagoner (all of Cape Coral, FL), 6 great grandchildren Noah Gaxiola, Myah Privot, Robby, Allie, Jeffrey and Mary Royce whom Harry adored.

     He is also survived by his sister, Connie Fairall (Little River, SC) and his brothers, Rick Renotas and wife Barb (Ridgeley, WV) and Barry Bosley and wife Pam (Mt. Airy, MD) and many nieces and nephews.

     There will be 2 memorial services held. The first will be held Saturday, June 19th, 2021, at 11:00 am at Talatha Baptist Church, Talatha Church Road, Aiken, SC with Pastor Jordan Bird officiating.

     The second service will be held Saturday, June 26th, 2021, at 11:00 am at Cornerstone Baptist Church, Frederick St., Cumberland, MD with Pastor Dave Hattenfield and Pastor Jeff Royce officiating. A visitation time will begin at 10:00 am prior to the service.

     The family would like to extend special thanks to the doctors and staff at Aiken Regional Hospital for their kind and Compassionate care.
