Ingrid G. Graves

AIKEN, SC - Ingrid G. Graves, 72, passed away peacefully Monday, October 7th with family by her side at her home in South Carolina.

     Ingrid was born July 11th, 1947, to Robert and Patricia Graves and was the first of 6 children.

     In 1959, the family moved from Caribou to Presque Isle where she graduated from P.I.H.S. in 1966.

     In June of 1978, she married Joseph Mesimer. Joe was a pilot for both Braniff and Continental airlines. They made their life together in Hawaii, Denver, Colorado, Houston, Texas and for the last 13 years in Aiken, South Carolina where they operated a cruise specialty business. 

     Though Ingrid had no children of her own, she took great pleasure in loving and spoiling her nieces and nephews and was a special aunt to all.

     She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Mesimer, her parents, Robert and Patricia Graves and beloved nephews Logan and Connor Graves.

     She is survived by her siblings, Sheila Bishop and her husband Kevin, Cynthia Wallace and her husband Michael, Robert Graves and his wife Lynne, Gregory Graves and his wife Rebecca and Michael Graves and his wife Sue.

     She is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

     There will be no services at this time. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery in the spring.
