James George Dallmann

May 23, 1941 — July 19, 2024

Aiken, SC

James (Jim) George Dallmann 83, passed suddenly and peacefully at home, after a perfectly ordinary day Friday, July 19, 2024.

Jim made his career as a banker in Milwaukee and retired to South Carolina where he found wonderful, steadfast friends. A part of his heart remained on the farm and in the deep green woods of Northern Wisconsin.

After his family, Jim most loved the outdoors and enjoyed traveling and hunting throughout the US, Canada and South Africa.

No matter where his travels and adventures took him, he would always return to the woods of Wisconsin the last two weeks of November to hunt the very same lands he had hunted for 70 years.

It could be said that Jim was a man of few words, but it was through the lens of hunting that he most often shared his words and his thoughts. He wrote the stories of the family from weddings, births and other celebrations to tragedies and losses. He felt them all deeply and loved his family well.

His family will forever be grateful for his legacy.

Sisters, Carol Coffee, Susan Zahnen, Barbara Barker; sister-in-law Jean Gillette; nieces Christy Kalkoffen (nee Coffey), Helen Schaller (nee Dallmann), Jenna Siverson (nee Barker), Lauren Barker, Lisa Mertens (nee Gillette); nephew Daniel Gillette and their families.
