James Ellis Hatcher

AIKEN, SC – Mr. James Ellis Hatcher, 80, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Chris Masters officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 PM. Pallbearers will be Dean Hatcher, Derrick Hatcher, C.J. Canty, James Setters, Jeremy Pittman, Leroy Brown, Matt Lindler, and Noah Lindler.   Honorary pallbearers will be Jessica Setters, Jamie Pittman, and Ashton Canty. Mr. Hatcher was born in Aiken, a son of the late Grady W. and Novielee Day Hatcher.  He worked at the Graniteville Company for many years, and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He is survived by two daughters; Wendy (Ronnie) Hill, Sylvania, GA, Roben (Tim) Wolf, Aiken, three grandchildren; C.J. (Ashton) Canty, Jessica (James) Setters, Jamie (Jeremy) Pittman, Timmy Wolf, nine great grandchildren; Skylar Canty, James Setters II, Lily Canty, Kathryn Sauls, Lindsay Sauls, Kaci Setters, Madyson Canty, Walker Pittman, and Brooklyn Pittman; brothers, Donald (Marie) Hatcher, Sr., Mt. Juliet, TN, Charles E. (Bobbie) Hatcher, Aiken. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Brown Hatcher.
