James "Jim" Edward Greame

AIKEN, SC – JAMES EDWARD “JIM” GREAME, 76, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 12, 2021 at his residence.

A native of Scranton, PA, Jim was a son of the late Walter Harvey and Arline Peters Greame.  He was a graduate of Drew University and formerly resided in Long Valley, NJ.  Jim was a mechanical engineer and spent his entire career with ASCO first in New Jersey before relocating to Aiken in 1988.  He retired in 2012 after 44 years with the company.  His love of family was first and foremost.  Jim enjoyed traveling, especially to Turks and Caicos and Cape May Point, NJ.  He enjoyed playing golf in his younger years and loved watching golf on TV.  He was very active in the Mallard Lake Home Owners Association.  Jim was an avid gardener, who passed along his gift of “Greame Thumb” to his family.

Surviving are his beloved best friend, Joyce Greame, Brevard, NC; two children, Alyssa and Donnie Wingard, Mount Pleasant, SC, Chris and Michelle Greame, Falls Church, VA; grandchildren, Ainsley and Tyler Lagnese, Amelia Wingard, Seamus Greame, Liam Greame; brother, Robert W. Greame, East Strausberg, PA and other treasured family and friends.

The family will host a reception in his remembrance Saturday afternoon, June 26^th from 2 until 4 o’clock at his residence.

The family will celebrate his life on October 9^th in Cape May Point, NJ.
