BEECH ISLAND, SC – JAMES SANFORD KIRKLAND, 63, beloved husband of Deborah Berry Kirkland, died Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, James was a son of the late James Monroe Kirkland and Alten “Nellie” Glaze Kirkland Blackwell. He was a Radiation Safety Officer working with Transnuclear Inc. for 34 years. James was the original owner of Cork & Bull Pub and was an avid dart player and former bowler.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah, his daughter, Hope Kirkland Hastings (Cliff), Knoxville, TN; two grandchildren, Cody Mitchell Hastings, Kendall Grace Hastings.
The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon, April 7th beginning at 2 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. A Celebration of James’ life will follow in the chapel at 3 o’clock with Kevin Liles officiating.
