James “Stank” Washington gained his angel wings on April 17, 2022, after a short, but tough, battle with cancer. He became a man who took care of anyone around him who needed it, even while he was fighting his own battle. When he wasn’t helping others with odds and ends, you could find him at the church, fishing, watching old western movies, or enjoying his favorite NFL football team, the Dallas Cowboys, on the television.
James is survived by his parents, Mamie Washington and Pierce Mack; his significant other, Victoria Haynes, all of Aiken, SC; brother Steve (Theresa) Franklin, Manassas, VA; brothers Rodney (Jackie Sullivan) Franklin, Willie Franklin, Steve Abney, and Michael Harldy, all of Aiken, SC; sister Stacey Washington, Manassas, VA; sister Emily Laquerre Bennett, Queens, NY; aunt Rosemary Washington, Aiken, SC; aunt Mozell Washington, Queens, NY; Mr. and Mrs. Farmer; Mr. and Mrs. Persons; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other family and friends.
