Mr. Jeffery Lynn Silas, 68, entered into eternal rest Monday, March 31, 2025. He resided in New Ellenton, South Carolina.

Jeff was born December 5th, 1956, in Augusta, GA, a life-long native of New Ellenton in Aiken County SC. He is preceded in in death by the late Hampton C. Silas Jr., and Mary Elizabeth Boozer Silas of Turon, Itawamba Mississippi. He is also preceded in death by his wife Clara Elizabeth Silas of Graniteville, South Carolina; his aunts, Barbara Ann Silas Leech, Bettie Jean Silas Pierce, Bessie Fae Silas Pierce, and Ruby Mae Silas Beach.

Jeff was a graduate of Aiken High School, Class of 1973. Upon graduation he enlisted and served in the US Navy as a Torpedoman’s Mate/ Missile Technician from 74-89. After his military service at the Naval Weapon Station Joint Base Charleston, he returned home and worked for the Aiken County School District for many years. He loved the great outdoors and nature. His true passions were for hunting and fishing and a boundless appetite for camping. He was an expert marksman who also enjoyed competitive shooting from the days of his youth. Jeff was also an excellent farmer who enjoyed planting and growing of many varieties of vegetables, fruits, and flowers.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffery Silas Jr and Mark Silas of Aiken, South Carolina.
