Joanne Rokous Blalock

Joanne Rokous Blalock, 88, joined her eternal love in heaven on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. 

Joanne was born in Lawrence, MA, to Joseph Rokous Sr. and Doris Allen Rokous. She was a devoted nurse, wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. There were few things in life she loved more than her husband, family, and friends.  Always in charge, and always fun, she lit up every room she walked in. 

She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie B. (Mark) Pratt, Augusta; her son, James “Jimmy” Calvin (Pam) Blalock, Jr., Aiken; grandchildren, Courtney (Robert) McCreary, Tyler (Kelsey) Pratt, Hunter (Adriana) Pratt, Casie (Tim) Lowe, Amanda (Justin) Cusimano, Austin Blalock, Kayla Blalock, Bradley Blalock and Chelsea Blalock; sixteen great grandchildren; one great, great grandchild and two sisters, Elaine Ciardello, and Roberta Alicata.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Calvin Blalock, Sr., her son Jeffrey Steven Blalock and her brother, Joseph R. Rokous.

Due to the threat of inclement weather, the service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Albert Sullivan officiating.
