WAGENER, SC – JOHN FRANCIS CONNORS, SR. (Jack), 74, beloved husband and best friend of Anne Albee, died Monday, July 2, 2018 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Hartford, CT, Jack was the son of the late William T., Sr., and Angelyn Lecours Connors. Jack was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. OooRAH! He was employed with "Mother" Aetna for 38 years before retiring in 2005. Jack retired from the First Company Governor's Horse Guards after serving proudly for over 20 years. He was a proud patriot and Golden Eagle member of the NRA. He will be remembered as a loving husband, loyal friend, avid Red Sox fan and a fair man with determination, honor and integrity.
In addition to his wife, Anne, Jack leaves five children; Lisa Roland (Bob), New Hartford, CT, Stephen Gray (Shelley), Mukilteo, WA, Theresa Campbell (Richard), Savannah, GA, Ron Watson, Wakefield, RI, and John Connors, Jr., (Lynn), Geneva, IL. Eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren will also miss their Pop - Paige and Jameson Roland, Ashley Taunton (Joe), Shianne, Sierra and Sage Gray, John and Michael Edwards, Trey Watson, Emma and Madi Connors; and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Julianna and Olivia Taunton. He also leaves two siblings, Geraldine “Gerri” Connors, West Hartford, CT and his hero, William T. “Bill” Connors, Jr., Farmington, CT.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held July 14th at 10:00 a.m. at the First Company Governors Horse Guards, 280 Arch Rd., Avon, CT. Friends and relatives are invited to participate by sharing memories and anecdotes. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be directed to the First Company Governor's Horse Guards, or Toys for Tots.
