AIKEN, SC - Mr. John Andrew "Andy" Dempsey, 67, passed away Friday, August 23, 2024. He was at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Aiken, Andy was the son of the late Will Mack and Mary Hindson Dempsey. A lifelong resident of Aiken, Andy spent his career working for SC LLR as a commercial building inspector.
He is survived by his daughters, Tracey Jean Dempsey, Aiken, Lisa Marie Dempsey, Aiken; brother, Tom (Jennie) Dempsey, Greenville, SC; grandchildren, Rose Sweetnam, Christopher Sweetnam, Sandra Sweetnam, David Smith and Donna Smith.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Shellhouse Funeral Home on Hayne Ave. The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM with interment to follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
