John Warren Richardson

November 4, 1940 — January 1, 2018

AIKEN- John Warren Richardson, 77, entered into rest Monday, January 1, 2018, at home.  He was the loving husband of Linda Hendricks Richardson.  They were married for 55 years.  Born in Aynor, South Carolina, he was the son of the late James Marvin and Bera Richardson of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina.  John Warren served in the United States Air Force for eight years,1958-1966, and was a Staff Sergeant at the time he was honorably discharged.  In 1970 John Warren graduated from  the Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. John Warren was an Internal Auditor with Dupont from 1970-1988.  He then worked at the Savannah River Plant from 1988-1996 with Westinghouse Corp., retiring at that time.  He also owned several H&R Block offices which he and his wife Linda operated until their retirement in 2005. John Warren is predeceased by his parents James Marvin Richardson and Bera Floyd Richardson, and his elder brother James Richardson, Jr.  John Warren is survived by his beloved wife Linda,; his daughter Kimberley Richardson Couch (Nathaniel); son John Warren Richardson Jr. (Barbara); his grandchildren Greer Couch; Cooper Couch, Rebecca Richardson,  Hunter Richardson, Rachael Richardson, and Great-grandson Gavin Couch,  His surviving siblings are Ann Richardson Pearson (Leroy), Gail Richardson Thorn (Noel), Wayne Richardson, and Lynn Richardson Harju ( David) and many beloved nieces and nephews. John Warren was cremated by Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home of Aiken, SC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 7th at Stuhr’s Funeral Home, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464.  A Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 PM following the visitation in the Chapel of Stuhr’s Funeral Home with Pastor Carlos Quinones officiating. Inurnment with Military Honors will be held following the service in Mt.
