Josh Miller

AIKEN, SC – SAMUEL JOSHUA “JOSH” MILLER, 41, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at his residence.

A native of Aiken County, Josh was a son of the late Dennis Keith Miller and Mary Helen Jones. He was a 1998 graduate of Silver Bluff High School where he was a stand-out on the baseball team.  Josh was named to the All American High School Baseball team in 1998 and was also named South Carolina Mr. Baseball that same year.  He played for American Legion Post 26 and was on the regional championship team in 1996.  Josh was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates as a catcher out of high school and played for the farm team in Bradenton, FL.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  Josh attended Pineview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his children, Caleb Joshua Miller and Addison Lynn Miller, both of Aiken; sisters, Sherry W. Trull, Graniteville, Rhonda W. James, Aiken, Crystal D. Bolen, Aiken.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sherrill and Nancy Miller and Betty Ann Boatwright.

A Celebration of Josh’s Life will be held Monday evening, October 12^th at 5:30 PM at The Big Red Barn on Chime Bell Church Rd.  The Rev. William Eaves will officiate.
