Joy Ann Purvis Heinrich

JOY ANN PURVIS HEINRICH, 90, beloved wife of Lawrence A. Heinrich, passed away Monday evening, January 9, 2023, at Edgefield Post Acute Care.  

     A native of Kansas City, MO, Joy was a daughter of the late Samuel O. “Ted” and Natalie White Purvis.  After their marriage, they moved to Chicago for Lawrence to work for Argonne Labs.  They moved to Aiken in 1953.  Joy was formerly active with the Girl Scouts.  She was a member of New Covenant Presbyterian Church.  She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling to many foreign countries with Lawrence. 

     Surviving, in addition to her husband, Lawrence are her daughter, Patty Heinrich, Aiken; son-in-law, George Meyers, Jr., Aiken; grandchildren, George Meyers III (Brooke), Michael Meyers, Brendan Parker Montminy, Ted Francis Montminy, Erin Gayle Montminy; great-grandchildren, Cayden Meyers, George Thomas Meyers IV; sister, Donna Purvis Bell (Steve), Napolean, MO; nephew, Sam Bell; nieces, Amy Miller Elholm (John), Karen Miller Hawke (Evan).  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Diane Heinrich Meyers; son, Michael Alan Heinrich. 

     A memorial service will be held Tuesday morning, January 17^th at 11 o’clock at New Covenant Presbyterian Church.  The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
