Judith Bolt Howell

JUDITH ANN BOLT HOWELL, 79, widow of Lewis V. Howell, passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Anchor Health and Rehabilitation.

A native of Ware Shoals, SC, Judy was a daughter of the late Arthur C. and Annie Mitchell Bolt.  She was a graduate of Erskine College with a degree in early childhood education.  Judy had lived in Aiken since 1973.  She taught for 24 years in the Aiken County School District, 18 of them at Gloverville Elementary.  She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Lewis V. “Chip” Howell, Jr., James Adam Howell (Tracey), all of Aiken; two granddaughters, Olivia Lee Ann Howell, Kelsey Ann Howell; a brother, Robert M. Bolt (Linda), Macon, GA; a sister, Shirley Bolt Warren (Steve), Kingsport, TN; sister-in-law, Rachael Cox Bolt, Kings Mountain, NC.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Arthur Bolt.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening, October 29^th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, October 30^th at 3 o’clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Tad Marshall officiating.  Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
