Karen Arsenault Shiley

GRANITEVILLE – Mrs. Karen Arsenault Shiley, 70, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at her residence.

Karen was born in New Haven, CT, a daughter of the late Eldrick and Adeline Asmus Arsenault.  She had lived in Graniteville for 44 years, and was a Registered Nurse working for the Aiken County Health Department and Aiken Regional Medical Centers.  She received her nursing education at the Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing in New Haven, CT.  She was a member of St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Aiken.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John E. Shiley, Jr.; daughter, Janna (David) Borden, Lexington, SC; son, Jon Shiley, Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Ian and Olivia Shiley; sister, Kathy Staron, Northford, CT; brother, Kenneth Arsenault, NJ; niece, Elizabeth Staron, New York City, NY.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Eldrick “Ricky” Arsenault, Jr.

A Funeral Mass will be held July 11, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Old St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Park Ave., with the Right Reverend Gregory Wilson officiating.
