Kathleen Nancy White, 81 years old, of Aiken, SC peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 6, 2022. Born in 1941 and raised in Hales Corners, WI , she was the youngest of four children to Frederich Ruehle and Hildegarde Rutz Ruehle. Her father was business owner (milk hauler) and long time Hales Corners volunteer Fireman; and her mother worked for Whitnal Park.
Kathy graduated from Bay View High School, Milwaukee, WI. in 1959. A short time later she met Tom White, of West Milwaukee, WI at the Lake Muskego Beach Pavilion dance parties, and they married in 1963. Kathy was the most devoted loving wife and mother we could ask for. Everything she did was for the family. She was our cornerstone, and was always there for us with supportive words and hugs. Required Sunday church, and numerous weekly kid activities and events, kept us busy and she often volunteered to work beside us, if not join us. She was a Room Mother, Brownie & Girls Scout Assistant Leader for Barbara, a clogger with Cheryl, volunteer for Aiken Swim Assoc. Swim Team (12 yrs) for both daughters, and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Aiken. She also sang with the Aiken Singers.
A most memorable event, for her, was playing percussion in President John F Kennedy's Inaugural Parade. Talents she shared with family and friends include: synchronized swimming, playing the piano, organ, guitar; making crocheted or sewn clothing and quilts; cake decorating; toll painting; and woodwork restoration. She was previously employed at the South Carolina Governor's Guardian Ad Litem Program, Aiken office.
Survivors include: husband Thomas Allen White in Aiken, SC; daughter Barbara White Schumacher (Jerry) in Boca Raton, FL; daughter Cheryl Ann Davis (Alex) in Aiken ,SC; sister Mary Ruehle Honadel in WI; sister-in-law Lois Ruehle in WI; niece Cheri Ruehle Feely (Mike) in TX; nephew David L Miles (Elsbeth) in WI; niece Ruth Honadel Oleson (Scott) in WI; sister-in-law Dorothy Koehn Rector (Gary) in AR; lifelong best friend Alice Heileman Breese (and family) in WI; and several more nieces, nephews and cousins in the US and Canada.
