Kelly Ann Tucker

KELLY POARCH TUCKER, 58, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Lenoir, NC, Kelly was the daughter of the late Clarence and Sandra Hatton Poarch. She was a graduate of West Caldwell High School and attended UNC-Wilmington.

Throughout her life, Kelly dedicated herself to the equine industry, beginning as a horse trainer before becoming a driver for Brook Ledge Horse Transport, transporting horses along the East Coast. Her passion for animals extended beyond her professional life, Kelly's deep love for animals was evident, as she was always ready to rescue a stray in need.

A Christian, Kelly found joy in sharing her faith and guiding others to know and love Jesus. Her warmth and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Kelly is survived by her two sons, Ian Reagan Tucker and Chase MacKaye Tucker, both of Aiken; as well as her brothers, Derek Poarch (Kathy), Lenoir, NC and Monty Poarch (Sharon), Granite Falls, NC.

The family will receive friends Friday afternoon, April 25th beginning at 1 o’clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home. A Celebration of Kelly’s Life will follow at 2 o’clock.
