Deltona, Florida – Kenneth Gordon Kight (Kenny), 73, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018. Mr. Kight was born in Aiken, S.C. the son of the late Harry Gordon Kight and Elizabeth Reardon Kight. He grew up in Aiken and loved all sports. He excelled in baseball and basketball in high school and beyond. He attended USC in Columbia before joining the Army and going to Viet Nam. He returned from the war in the late ‘60s as a decorated Army Captain. He left the Army after serving in Greece and returned to Columbia where he earned a degree in Accounting. He moved to Orlando, FL and worked as a CPA and became the comptroller for US Homes in Orlando. He lived, raised his family and retired in the Orlando area. Survivors include two daughters Michelle (Paul) Neuner, Maitland, FL, Erika (Rob) Boyles, Longwood, FL; a son Kevin Kight, Winter Springs, FL; six grandchildren Mac and Will del Valle, Aiden, Ruby, Jade, and Eva Boyles; two sisters Colleen (Harry) Morris Aiken, SC, Kay English, Summerville, SC; a brother Harry (Martha) Kight, Aiken, SC; and many nieces and nephews. The family will gather for a celebration of life in Coco Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or Friends of the Animal Shelter.
