Lamar L. Keisler

AIKEN, SC - Mr. Lamar L. Keisler, 95, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020.

Born in Pelion, SC, Mr. Keisler was a son of the late Clarence and Mertis Long Keisler. After graduating from Wofford College in 1949, Mr. Keisler served in the US Navy as Dental Technician, stationed in Boston, MA. He went on to work for DuPont at the Savannah River Plant for 41 years. Mr. Keisler was a long-time member of St. John's United Methodist Church and the Aiken Golf Club. He was an avid golfer, playing until he was 90.

Mr. Keisler is survived by his two children, Gayle K. (Dale) Couch, Aiken, Gary (Louise) Keisler, Mt. Pleasant, SC; three granddaughters, Haley Keisler, Katie Keisler, Cheryl (Russ) Whitt; two great-grandchildren, Bailey and Conner Wright; a sister, Roberta Howell, Augusta, GA and a brother Carl (Betty) Keisler, West Columbia, SC.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Keisler was preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years Vera Rish Keisler and a sister, Reba Redicker of Galesburg, MI.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St., NW, Aiken, SC 29801.

The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of Dad’s Caretakers and Staff at Shadow Oaks and Regency Southern Care Hospice.

Due to Covid-19, a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
