AIKEN, SC – LEO W. KNOEPFLE, 83, husband of the late Myrtle Ann Bauer Knoepfle, passed away suddenly, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at his residence.
A native of Campbell County, SD, Leo was a son of the late Edwin and Emma Rorbach Knoepfle. He lived in Aiken, SC since 2004 and retired as a superintendent with Morrison & Knudsen’s Heavy Civil Construction Division. He was a devoted husband and father.
Surviving are his sons, Randy Knoepfle (Joan), Cape Canaveral, FL, Craig Knoepfle (Anita), Aiken; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; seven siblings, Idella Fey, Ashley, ND, Diana Groff, Mobridge, SD, Lester Knoepfle, Lead, SD, Darlene Knoepfle, Herrid, SC, Wilma Tshetter, Ashley, ND, Violet Nitscke, Lodi, CA and Shirley Ohlahauser, Bridgeport, WA.
