LILLIAN STEARNS KINNER, 90, passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 in The Hills of Cumberland Village with her loving family by her side.
A native of Elmira, NY, Lillian was a daughter of the late Floyd and Lillian Kennedy Stearns. She lived most of her life in Elmira and retired as operational manager of Welles Supply. She spent the last 10 years in The Villages, FL before moving to Aiken, SC in February of this year. Lillian loved the outdoors and enjoyed playing Bingo and Bunco.
Surviving are her children, Steven Kreitzer (Laurie), The Villages, FL, Carol Cragan (Daniel), Aiken, SC, David Stearns, Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Michael Stearns, Daniel Stearns, Matthew Difasi (Brittany), Angela Strong (Nick), Jillian Aho, Nate Kreitzer; great-grandchildren, Donovan, Cordelia, Lucello and Orenzo Difasi, Adrianna and Layla Strong, Eliana, Lukas and Benjamin Aho; extended family whom she considered a daughter, Pam Forker, Aiken, SC; Pam’s children, Shawn Forker (Kelli), Krista Spinks (Alex); Pam’s grandchildren, Jordan Spinks (Cara), Natalie Spinks, Max Spinks. In addition to her parents, Lillian was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Difasi; a sister, Betty Nisco and her brothers, Private Gerald A. Stearns , Joseph Stearns; Gerald (Jerry) Forker, who she considered as a son.
In honoring Lillian's memory, the family has chosen not to hold a formal service. Those who wish to pay tribute to Lillian may do so by making contributions to Friends of the Animal Shelter (fotasaiken.org) or to the SPCA Albrecht Center for Animal Welfare (letlovelive.org).
