NEW ELLENTON, SC – LOUISE FEAGANS, 96, widow of Robert Geary Feagans, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Hitchcock Place Assisted Living.

Born in Monaville, WV, Louise was a daughter of the late William and Carrie Ann Mormon McCalvin. She attended Logan High School. Upon graduation she was selected and called to work at the Rossmore Coal Mine as a clerk-typist.  Later she and her parents, along with 3 of 9 siblings, relocated to Ashland KY.  There she worked as a bookkeeper in the Guyan (later called Don Hall) Chevrolet. She met her husband and had her two daughters in Ashland.  In the following years, the family moved to Frankfort, KY and later to the countryside in Charleston, TN before coming to SC in 1969.  Through the years she traveled with her husband coast to coast through the USA. Because her mechanical engineer husband was also a Baja Bush Pilot, she enjoyed travel through Central America in their Cessna 172. She lived in New Ellenton since 1971 and for many years was an active member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in the Joy Circle.  She was a retired bookkeeper from Hart Electric in Augusta, GA.

Grayson Buckner; a step-great-granddaughter, Lillie Dukes, Ft. Mill; two brothers, Billy Joe McCalvin, Ashland, KY, Robert Lee McCalvin, Pie Town, AZ.
