Lowell Ray Kendrick

Aiken – Mr. Lowell Ray Kendrick, 84, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Lowell was born in Pikeville, KY, a son of the late John Evans and Kelsie Rowe Kendrick.  He lived in the Aiken area since 1959, and retired from Aiken Electric Co-Op after over 25 years.  He was a member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church where he once served as a deacon and usher, and was a former member of the New Ellenton Masonic Lodge.  He loved to play golf, and was a favorite of the employees of Wal-Mart.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Hall Kendrick; daughters, Ann K. (Chip) Poston, Aiken, Janice K. (Ed) Heuck, Hilton Head Island, SC, Karen K. (Rusty) Hutson, Williston, SC; a son, Gary (Tammy) Kendrick, Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Jonathan Bryant, Joshua Bryant, Jennifer Poston, Kristy Yaun, Jeffery Wilson, Jr., Adam Bridges, Kayli Taylor, Garrett Kendrick, and Tyler Kendrick; 18 great grandchildren; sisters, Donna Robinson, New Ellenton, SC, and Lois Busbee, Aiken; and a special nephew, Jackie Kendrick, Bluffton, SC.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Walter, John, Jr., and Cleo Kendrick.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 7, 2021, in Southlawn Cemetery with the Revered Earl Carter officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Memorials may be directed to Foreman Memorial Baptist Church, or to a charity of choice.
