Lucille C. Stallings

d. September 24, 2021

Mrs. Lucille C. Stallings, loving referred to as “Miss Lucy”, age 94 entered into heaven on September 24 surrounded by her family. Mrs. Stallings was born in Charleston, SC, and moved to Aiken County as a young girl. She was an exceptional lady, loved by all who knew her. She was a lifelong member of Foreman Memorial Baptist Church. “Miss Lucy” has many interests in her life here on earth. She owned several businesses and loved good food, fur coats, diamonds and especially antiques. She so enjoyed going to estate sales and auctions high and low in her quest to find the best! And she did! But more than all this, she treasured her son Paul. Paul stood by her side for over 70 years, and she stood beside him. They were each other’s rock. Beside Paul, Mrs. Stallings is survived by her incredible granddaughter Christy Heaton (Ashley), her grandson Scott (Kim) Mills, and four great grandchildren: Sarah Grace Heaton, Jacob Heaton, Alex Mills, and Tanner Mills. And last but surely not least, her beloved puppy, “Pookie”. She adored him and he adored her! She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Sr. of 54 years, a daughter, Shirley Stallings Mills, her parents Josephine and Oswald Crosby, and six brothers and sisters. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, October 3, 2021 at Shellhouse Funeral Home on Hayne Ave. with the Rev. Earl Carter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, a donation in her name can be made to a charity of your choice.
