Mae West Robinson

AIKEN – Mrs. Ilie Mae West Robinson, 97, widow of the late Dave Stewart Robinson, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, July 30, at Millbrook Baptist Church with The Rev. Bill Howard III and Pastor Scott Gorrell officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the gravesite. Pallbearers will be Blake Robinson, Brooks Robinson, Parker Church and Bob Morgan. Born in Roanoke, VA, Mrs. Robinson was a daughter to the late Claude and Ilie Ledbetter West. She lived in Newport, TN before moving to Aiken with her family in 1954. She worked as a bookkeeper for 40 years for Coward-Corley Seed Co. Mrs. Robinson was the longest-tenured member of Millbrook Baptist Church and taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She was heavily involved with WMU, VBS and Training Union. As a homemaker to her family, Mrs. Robinson will be remembered as a loving mother, gran and great-gran. She is survived by her three sons Dave Stewart (Marty) Robinson, Jr., North Bend, WA, Randy (Lorie) Robinson, Aiken, SC, Daniel (Deborah) Robinson, Vero Beach, FL; grandchildren, Catherine Mae (Bob) Morgan, Rhett Stewart (Melissa) Robinson, Miranda Michele Church, Blake Selby (Sloan) Robinson, Daniel Brooks (Malorie) Robinson, Malinda Eileen Robinson; great-grandchildren Emily Mae Morgan, Parker James Church, Hudson Scott Church and Jude Gunner Robinson. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Robinson was preceded in death by her two sisters; Elizabeth West Ford, Rozelle West Holt and a brother, Robert West.
