MAGGIE KNIPHFER MARSH, 94, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in her home.
Born in Wrightsville, GA, Maggie was a daughter of the late John Edgar and Mozelle Lampp Kniphfer. She grew up in Louisville, GA before moving to Augusta, where she lived most of her life. She retired as a dietitian with Richmond County School System. She was formerly active with Feeding the Souls ministry at Hephzibah First Baptist Church and was a current member of First Baptist Church of Warrenville.
Survivors include her daughter, Sheila Marsh Booker (Robert), Aiken; her son, Ron Marsh (Ginna), Columbus, GA; seven grandchildren, Todd Marsh, Theresa Ferguson, Jonathan Awad, Phillip Marsh, Jennifer Morris, Jordan Thompson and Lindsay Thames; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene Parrish, North Augusta; two brothers, Otis Kniphfer, Aiken, James Kniphfer, Blythe, GA.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and thanks to Alicia Robertson for her loving and compassionate care of Mrs. Marsh.
The family will receive friends Wednesday morning, October 16th beginning at 10 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 11 o’clock in the funeral home’s chapel with The Rev. Arthur Zawislak officiating. Interment will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Grandsons and Great-Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (stjude.org).
