AIKEN, SC - MARGARET HOLLEY-TAYLOR, 82, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA. A native and life-long resident of Aiken County, Margaret was a daughter of the late Lewis and Dessie Beck Cushman. She was the owner of Aiken Office Supply. She formerly served on the board of directors for Peoples Community Bank, USC-Aiken Partnership, Aiken Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of Aiken County. Survivors include her daughter, Patti Tarity Street (Allen), Aiken; her son, Ralph Oliver Holley (Veronica), Costa Rica; grandchildren, Robert Holley (Lauren), Taylor Lane Bolin, Heather Louise Holley, Keisi Nicolle Suarez Chacón, Margaret Isabella Holley, Victoria Street, Courtnie Josey (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Robert Oliver “Ollie” Holley, John Good Holley, Emma Louise Holley; a sister, Ann Crout (Bill), Wagener; brothers, Billy Cushman, Eden, NC, Charles Cushman (Dixie), Aiken, Leon “Bubba” Cushman (Betty), Windsor, Lewis O’Neal Cushman (Lois), Windsor, Tommy Cushman (Ginger), Lexington, SC and long-time friend, Charles “Charlie” Cupp and his son, Chuck Cupp. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph L. “Pa” Taylor, her 1st husband, Ralph Oliver Holley, a sister, Maxine “Judy” Norris and a sister-in-law, Linda Cushman. The family will receive friends Saturday afternoon May 20th from 4 until 6 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Cathy Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Philip Frew, Paul Matthews, Michael Shaffer, Jeff Hudson, Steve Hudson and John Thomas. The family would like to thank Margaret’s caretakers, Pandoree Jones, Bertha Jones and Eileen P. Christian for their loving care and support.
