AIKEN, SC – MARGIE DUGGER McGUIRE, widow of Reed W. McGuire, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2021 at her residence.
A native of Butler, TN, Margie was a daughter of the late Breamer and Polly Dugger. She lived in Aiken since 1951 and retired from Thermodisc. She was a longtime member of Millbrook Baptist Church
Survivors include her daughter, Sandra Burkhart (Frank); son, Gary R. McGuire (Marilyn), all of Aiken; two grandchildren, Nicole Reed Burkhart, Ethan Logan Burkhart; three brothers, Truman Dugger (Sylvia), Johnson City, TN, Earl Dugger, Elizabethton, TN, Dewey Dugger (Ella Mae), Butler, TN.
The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, April 12th at 1 o’clock at Beech Mountain Missionary Baptist Church, Elk Park, NC. The funeral service will follow at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the church, 1326 Dark Ridge Rd., Elk Park, NC 28622.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dynette Farmer, Erica Barton, Sheryl Flowers, Shawnda Claxton, University Hospital Infusion Center and Dr. Aaron Flanders along with the nurses and staff of Aiken Oncology for their loving and compassionate care of Mrs. McGuire.
