AIKEN, SC – MARK STEPHEN HALUPA, 53, died Saturday, June 1, 2019 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Mark was a son of Diane Kunca Halupa and the late Terence Wayne Halupa. He grew up in McKees Rocks, PA and was a member of the Montour High School “Spartans” Class of 1984. Mark proudly served his country in the United States Air Force in the Gulf War. He lived in Aiken since 1996 and was a career car salesman. He loved his customers as family. Mark’s passion and love of football led him to become a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was of the Eastern Orthodox faith.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, Diane of Aiken, include his sister, Kim Trapuzzano (Joel Brumelow), Atlanta; his brother, Terry Halupa (Rebecca), Aiken; nieces and nephews, T. J. Trapuzzano (Alysia), Zach Trapuzzano (Cristi), Haley Trapuzzano, Sydney Halupa, Baylie Brumelow, Hunter Brumelow and all those who considered him “Uncle Mark”; a number of cousins, aunts and uncles.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, June 4th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be Wednesday afternoon, June 5th at 2 o’clock at the funeral home. Interment will be in Southlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org).
