AIKEN, SC – MARY LOU “TOOTSIE” BLAYLOCK, 83, widow of Ray Blaylock, died suddenly Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Aiken Regional Medical Centers. A native of Dorsey, MS, Mary Lou was a daughter of the late Riley and Verdie Thomas Taylor. She lived in Aiken since 1953 and was a Member at South Aiken Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Jeff (Nancy) Blaylock; daughters, Vickie (Joe) Lowe, Patti (Bryan) Womack, Toni (Pete) Keeling; a sister, Laverene Gross; grandchildren, Daniel Blaylock, Nathan Lowe, Nolan (Elaine) Lowe, Hope (Preston) Bledsoe, Jason (Kayla) Womack, Brook (Karl) Goodhew; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Alaina Bledsoe, Chelsey Steele, Aiden Stone, Rylan and Kaylin Lowe. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson Matthew Blaylock The family will receive friends Saturday morning, November 18th beginning at 10 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home followed by the funeral service at 11 o’clock. The Rev. Ben Reams will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Daniel Blaylock, Nathan Lowe, Nolan Lowe, Jason Womack, Preston Bledsoe and Dominic Bledsoe. In lieu of flowers, the family would like for memorial contributions to be made to South Aiken Baptist Church.
