Mary Helen Lowe

AIKEN, SC - It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Mary H. Lowe, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many in ways that will not soon be forgotten. Mary H Lowe born Feb 28, 1952, passed April 6, 2023 from complications of cancer at Aiken regional hospital. By her side were her husband Paul, nephew Mark, friends, Vickie, Susan, Monica, Willie, and Don: She did not start her journey alone. Mary was a Marriage & Family Therapist. Mary helped many children and adults during their time of need. She recently practiced at Aiken Counseling Group in SC and was always willing to lend a listening ear or a helping hand. When Mary married Paul Lowe in 1978 she was a nurse: they met in Flint MI. Mary is a graduate of the University of SC, and Notre Dame de Namur University, in California. She attended other colleges including Ambassador University, Mott College, and Ohio State. Mary attended the New Covenant Presbyterian Church when living in Aiken and the United Church of Los Alamos, when in NM and also GCI in other states. Mary and Paul traveled extensively throughout Europe and the USA. Mary embraced every new experience with an open heart and an insatiable curiosity. Mary’s parents were Polish Prisoners of War from WW2 who came to the USA and lived the American dream. As we say goodbye to Mary, let us remember the many ways she enriched our lives and the world around us. Let us hold fast to the memories shared. Left behind are Paul Lowe husband of 45 years and her Sisters: Susan Siegfried, Olga Maurer, nephews Jason, and Zack Kirker, nieces Nora Houghton, Suzette Bauman and Tina Chulick. Also, Paul’s Sister Judy Kelley, his niece Katie Bruno, nephews Chris and Frank Kelley, and many other nieces, nephews and many friends. Mary's passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her. But her legacy will live on through the countless lives she touched. Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on April 30 and visitation at 2:00 PM at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church, 526 Hitchcock Pkwy. Aiken, SC.
