Mary Caroline Sherrard

AIKEN- Mrs. Mary Caroline Sherrard, 88, wife for 64 loving years to Marlen Sherrard, passed away on October 11, 2018 at her residence. Born in Gibsonburg, OH she was a daughter to the late Lester and Leona Maillard Gleason. Caroline graduated from Notre Dame Academy in Toledo.  She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Ladies Sorority for 48 years. During her working years, Caroline was a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and  ultimately retired from AT&T. Caroline was a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers. Survivors include her husband, Marlen C. (Sam) Sherrard ; sons, Michael C. (Susan) Sherrard of Atlanta, GA, Mark C. Sherrard of Greeneville, TN and Matthew C. (Denise) Sherrard of Aiken, SC; daughter, Marla C. (Keith) Brown of Harmony Township, NJ; 31 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Caroline was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and a granddaughter, Bonnie. The Funeral Liturgy will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 11:00 at The Old Saint Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Park Ave, Aiken S.C. with Father Wilson officiating.  Additional services will be held on October 27, 2018 at St. Johns Catholic Church beginning at 10:30 AM in Delphos Ohio with Internment at Vaughnsville Cemetery, 15356-15420 Old State Highway 12, Columbus Grove, OH 45830.
