Mattie G. Hardin

AIKEN, SC – MATTIE G. HARDIN, 71, beloved wife of Ralph F. Hardin, Sr., died Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Pruitt Health of Aiken.      A native of Aiken, Mattie was the daughter of the late William Spears Broughton and Gwendoline Lindler Broughton.      She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ralph, Sr.; daughters, Sherri Baker (Rob), Sandy Mundy; sons, Ralph F. Hardin, Jr. (Renee), Thomas Hardin (Barbra), Todd Hardin (Natalie), all of Aiken; eight grandchildren, Yolanda Barton, Davan Hardin, Diana Weyandt, Katelyn Hardin, T. J. Hardin, Jr., Tyler Hardin, Madison Mundy, Blake Hardin, three great-grandchildren, Adam Dabbs, Silas Hardin, Katherine Dabbs; sisters, Marjorie Hendrix, Fayetteville, NC, Nina Jordon, Charleston, SC, Pat Bickley, Aiken, Annie Gayle Gunter, Aiken and brother William Spears Broughton, Jr., (Sterling), Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her brother, George Broughton.      The family will receive friends Friday evening July14th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home.      The funeral will be Saturday morning at 10 o’clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Neil Flowers. Interment will follow at Noon in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, Lexington, SC. Pallbearers will be Davan Hardin, Kenneth Dabbs, Carl Gunter, John Gunter, Wayne Gunter, Bobby Jordon and Charlie Levitt.
