Michael Christopher Mothkovich

AIKEN, SC - Mr. Michael Christopher Mothkovich, 48, passed away on Sunday, December 10th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, and generosity.  

A man of immense compassion, Michael touched countless lives through his benevolence. He enjoyed socializing and was a loyal and devoted friend. He was the pillar of support for many, always willing to go above and beyond to help those in need.  

Talented and creative, Michael found joy in music, playing several instruments, including the piano and saxophone.  

Beyond his musical talents, Michael exemplified compassion in its truest form. He extended his care not only to people but also to animals, selflessly dedicating his time to their well-being. His nurturing nature towards creatures great and small reflected his profound empathy.  

Michael is survived by his loving parents, Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Frances) Mothkovich (Aiken, SC) and two brothers, Mr. Sean (Jamie) Mothkovich (Aiken, SC) and Dr. Troy Mothkovich (Lexington, SC).  

In honor of Michael’s deep affection for animals, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, those wishing to pay their respects make a donation to a local animal shelter. In doing so, they continue his legacy of compassion and care.  

In celebration of Michael's life and legacy, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 2 pm at Lakeside Baptist Church, 4280 Jefferson Davis Highway, Beech Island, SC 29842. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Ted Marshall. Michael's departure has left a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on in the memories of all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
