MILDRED ELIZABETH VOIGT JOLLEY, 92, widow of Clayton Jolley, passed away Monday, August 7, 2023 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
A native of Columbia, SC, Mildred was a daughter of the late Theodore M. and Elizabeth Irby Voigt. She had made Aiken her home since 1955. She was a retired social worker from the SC Department of Social Services Aiken office. Mildred was a longtime member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church where she was an Elder and longtime member of the choir. She was past president of the Women of the Church and was a former Woman of the Year. She was a former board member of the Aiken Choral Society and was also a member of the Aiken Choraliers and the USCA Concert Choir. She was also a member of the Town and Country Club.
Survivors include four children, Lisa McCullough, Paul Jolley, Peter Jolley (Linda), Jonathan Jolley (Sarah); twelve grandchildren, Luke Jolley (LeAnne), Matthew Jolley (Courtney), Anne McCullough, Erin McCullough, Ben McCullough (Katie), Rebekah Jolley, Abigail Jolley, Elizabeth Eagerton (Thomas), Deanna Jolley, Robert Jolley, Owen Jolley, Paige Jolley; great-grandchildren, Ethan Jolley, Allen Galloway, Mya Jolley, Ben Sigler, Emma Goodman, Lily Jolley, Dean McCullough; great-great grandchildren, Gabriel and Estella Sigler.
The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon, August 10th beginning at 3 o’clock at South Aiken Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will follow at 4 o’clock with The Rev. Jason Hammersley officiating. Interment will be Friday afternoon, August 11th at 2 o’clock in Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah , GA.
