MINNIE PELLICANE, 94, widow of Jack Eugene Pellicane, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2025 in Hitchcock Square with her loving daughters by her side.
Born in Yorktown, TX, Minnie was a daughter of the late Fidel H. and Julia Garza Salais. After graduating from high school, Minnie’s father sent her to San Antonio for secretarial school. It was in San Antonio where she met her future husband who was stationed at Fort Sam Houston.
She lived in a number of cities across the United States. She was active serving in the community when she was a realtor in the Chicago area. She also volunteered with prison ministries while living in Pennsylvania. She was a devout Catholic her entire life. In 2023, she moved to Aiken, SC from St. Petersburg, FL.
Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Wurtz (Thomas), Reading, PA, Barbara Colucci (Richard), Aiken, SC; five grandchildren, Dana Caron (Alex), Lindsay Wurtz, Kyle Colucci (Kathrynne), Korey Colucci (Amanda), Richard Colucci III (Christina); ten great-grandchildren, Harper Caron, Jackson Caron, Beau Caron, Julia Lee, Corey Cheker, Chloe Wagy, Sunny Colucci, Kyle Colucci, Jr., Richard Colucci IV, Iris Colucci; her brother, Fidel Salais, McAllen, TX. In addition to her parents, She was preceded in death by her sister, Lydia Salais; brother, Seferino Salais; a granddaughter, Allison Wurtz and a great-granddaughter, Analise Caron.
