MIRIAM REARDEN SUMMER, 89, widow of Truman C. Summer, passed away Friday morning, November 4, 2022, in her home, surrounded by her loving family.
A native and lifelong resident of Aiken County, Miriam was a daughter of the late R. P. and Maggie Reece Rearden. She was a former Avon representative. She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Miriam had a mighty faith, ever the willing servant, her life was valued by many.
She will be lovingly remembered by her four daughters, Dianne S. Moseley, Aiken, Terri S. Kinney (Patrick), Aiken, Sheilah S. Derrick (Steve), Chapin, Kimberley S. Cain (Stephen), Aiken; six grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Myrtle Clark (Sidney), Aiken. In addition to her beloved husband, Truman and her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Norris E. Moseley and six siblings.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, November 6th beginning at 2 o’clock at Lighthouse Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 3 o’clock with The Revs. Marion Britton and Jeff Gibson officiating. Interment will be in Graniteville Cemetery.
