Muriel Elizabeth McHugh

AIKEN – Mrs. Muriel Elizabeth McHugh, 84, died peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2017 at her residence. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church with the Reverend Grant Wiseman officiating.  Mrs. McHugh was born in New York, NY, a daughter of the late Lucy Nielsen Ryan.  She had been a resident of Aiken for 27 years, was a volunteer for the Aiken Regional Medical Centers Hospital Auxiliary, worked in the offices for St. Thaddeus Episcopal Church where she was a member, was a member of the Kalmia Landing HOA, and had been an office manager for a large orthodontics practice for over 13 years She is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, William E. McHugh; sons Terrence Keith (fiancee Susan) McHugh, Troy, MI, William Edward (Lisa) McHugh, II, Delanson, NY; grandchildren, Kirsten Brownell, Kelly Schroeder, Keri Murphy, Sean McHugh, Tara Wood, Megan McHugh, Mallory Hixson, Nolan McHugh, Patrick McHugh; great grandchildren, Zoe Brownell, Mya Brownell, Jakob Brownell, Lilly Wood, Logan Wood, MacKenzie McHugh, Jack McHugh, Jack Murphy, Gus Schroeder.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Kevin McHugh (wife Michelle), Timothy Karl (Cindy) McHugh; brothers Phillip McBride and John McBride.
