Nancy Farmer Livengood

Nancy Farmer Livengood, aged 82, passed away Thursday evening, May 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. 
 
Nancy, originally from Nickelsville, VA, was the loving wife of the late James Roy Livengood, Sr., and the cherished daughter of Garth and Lily Mae Mitchell Farmer. She retired as a cosmetologist in Tennessee four decades ago, and after many years traveling as the wife of an Electrical Journeyman, she made Aiken County her home. Nancy was a devoted homemaker and was a member of Beech Island Church of Christ.
 
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Peggy Floyd (David) of Leesville, SC; her son, James R. Livengood, Jr., Beech Island, SC; seven grandchildren Tiffany Boyd (Aaron), Ashley Barton (Brandon Phillips), Holly Barton, Hanna Barton (Rick Galloway), Steven Livengood, Cody Livengood, and Emily Livengood; five great-grandchildren Austin Boyd, Baylee Boyd, Graeme Moxley, Natalie Livengood, and Thompson Galloway; along with three sisters, Dana Hartsock and Vallace Meade of Nickelsville, VA; and Faye Stout of Ohio. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter, Penny Parker, and four siblings: N. C. Farmer, Mary Hale, Betty Burke, and Dallas Page.
 
The family will receive friends Monday afternoon, May 13th starting at 1 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2 o'clock with The Rev. Ronnie Parnell officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brandon Phillips, Tim Barton, Roger Sluss, Glenn Nichols Jr., James Livengood Jr., and Rick Galloway.  The family requests bright, cheerful attire be worn by family and friends in attendance.
