Opal Mabel Lambert

Opal M. Dillion Lambert, 95 years of age, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in Aiken, South Carolina.

Opal was born February 17, 1928, in Topeka, Kansas to the late Arthur and Alta Dillion. Opal is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Doyal H. Lambert, son Gregory Lambert, daughter Charlene Lambert, and grandson James Lambert. Opal leaves to cherish her loving memory to her son Bradford Lambert (Alice) of Venice, FL., 5 grandchildren, Wendell Edwards (Donna) of Aiken, SC, Renee Medders (Dusty) of Wellington, AL., Kimberly Martin of The Woodlands, TX, Jason Lambert (Melecia) Pulaski, TN, and Jennifer Lambert of Sarasota, FL. and 11 great grandchildren, Derek (DJ), Meagan, Madelyn, Brooke, Carley, Alex, Courtlyn, Hanna, Ashley, Ireland and Brady.

Opal was born and raised in Topeka, Kansas. In 1947 she moved to Anaheim, California and worked as a teller at a local bank. She met her husband and married in 1950. They had three children and she spent 25 years as an Army wife. They lived in multiple states and other countries such as Panama and Germany, where she loved to explore. They settled in Wellington, Alabama and later Aiken, South Carolina near their family. Opal resided at Cumberland Village Senior living in Aiken SC for the past 9 years where she loved the activities and social atmosphere.
