AIKEN, SC – OPAL MULLINS WRIGHT, 96, beloved wife of the late Bruce W. Wright, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Pepper Hill Nursing Center.
A native of Jane, VA, Opal was a daughter of the late General M. and Lillie Epling Mullins. She lived in Aiken since 1953 and was a former dental assistant. She was a member of South Aiken Presbyterian Church where she formerly taught Sunday School.
Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Jean Moler (Robert), Aiken; two sons, Ronald Bruce Wright (Sandy), Las Vegas, NV, Michael William Wright (Patti), Florence, SC; grandchildren, John Wright (Crystal), Lee Wright (Katie), Andrea Cornelison, Megan Greenwald (Brian), Bruce Hughey (Kristen), Chad Hughey, Staci Funk (Jay), Katie Moler (Blake Murphy), Michael Moler; sixteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruby Sparks (Bob), Pikeville, KY.
The family will receive friends Friday morning, April 6th beginning at 10 o’clock at South Aiken Presbyterian Church. The funeral will follow at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
