Paul Jeffrey "Jeff" Courtney

PAUL JEFFREY “JEFF” COURTNEY, 70, beloved husband of Pamela Eubanks Courtney, passed away Monday afternoon, November 6, 2023 at his residence.

A native of Aiken, Jeff was a son of the late Paul R. and Eloise Cushman Courtney.  He grew up in Montmorenci and lived most of his life in Aiken County.  He retired from Local 150 in Augusta as a pipefitter in 2010.  He then worked as a welding engineer on the MOX project at SRS, retiring in 2018.  Jeff was an active member of Millbrook Baptist Church and was a member of the choir.  He loved his church and serving his Lord.  Jeff passion was woodworking.  He enjoyed working in his yard and growing flowers.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Pam; five children, Tanya Day, Tammy Hagan (Chris), Adam “Bubba” Courtney (Bridget), Orry Courtney (Lydia), Coty Courtney (Marlie), Aiken; eight grandchildren, Carson Day, Braydon Day, Madison Hagan, Ella Grace Hagan, Ryder Courtney, Ryley Courtney, Kori Courtney, Harper June Courtney; two brothers, Russell Courtney (Lisa), Marty Courtney; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marion and Edna Eubanks.  In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Courtney.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening, November 9^th from 6 until 8 o’clock at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Friday afternoon, November 10^th at 1 o’clock at the funeral home with The Rev. Bill Howard III officiating.  Interment will follow in historic Bethany Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Adam “Bubba” Courtney, Orry Courtney, Coty Courtney, Neil Cushman, Mike Grandy, Jason Courtney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Millbrook Baptist Church for Missions, 223 South Aiken Blvd., Aiken, SC 29803.
