Paul Timothy Toole

AIKEN, SC - Paul Timothy Toole, 61, of Aiken, South Carolina went home to be with Jesus on July 13, 2020.

     He is survived by his precious, beloved wife, Mary Smith Toole; daughter, Jaselyn Toole; brothers, John Phillip Toole (Cindy) and David Mark Toole; sister, Nancy Christine Stroble (Mike); cousin, Ronald Toole (Christina), bonus children; Rebecca Bell and Jeremy Smith (Alysha), grandchildren, Raegan Mattie Toole, Raven Bell, Jessup Puckett, Payton Smith, Mason Smith, Channing Lee Smith, and Eagan Swint. Most importantly, he survived by his loving mother-in-law, Shirley DeHart who adored him more than anything.

     He is preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Lucille Toole, his father, Fabius Toole Jr, and his father-in-law, Bob DeHart.

     Paul “Timmy” Toole proudly served his country and was a Vietnam Era Veteran. He served in the United States Army with his brother, Sgt. John Phillip Toole out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After serving his country, he proceeded in serving his community through the New Ellenton Police Department as Chief of Police and as a Corrections Officer with the Aiken County Detention Center. 

     Paul was an avid gun enthusiast and loved nothing more than going to the gun ranges in Columbia with his cousin, Ron Toole. 

     He will be missed by many as he was so loved by all of his family and friends. He was a loving husband and devoted father. To know him was to love him. -He is forever in our hearts until we meet him again in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

     A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 18^th at 3 PM at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home
