Retha Black Harmon

AIKEN – Mrs. Retha Black Harmon, 88, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018. Mrs. Harmon was born March 24, 1929 in Newberry, SC, a daughter of the late Celee and Ressie Rikard Black. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, and worked for Aiken County Public Schools. She is survived by her two daughters, Melinda Gay Harmon, Aiken, Cindy H. (Ted) Groomes, Aiken; a son, Michael W. Harmon., Aiken; granddaughter, Sela McGee Groomes. Mrs. Harmon was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Williams (Curly) Harmon, Capt. US Navy Ret. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 26, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Reverend Jeff Erbskorn and the Reverend Adam Carnell officiating. Entombment will follow in the Southlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
