Richard Empoliti

AIKEN- Richard A. Empoliti, Sr., 72, beloved husband of Alice M. Empoliti, passed away Friday, January 19th. Born in Waterbury, CT he was a son of William, Sr. and Helen Ochipo Empoliti. Richard was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. He was a very respected contractor in Aiken for 29 years. Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Michael (Ashton) Empoliti, Shelly Empoliti, Richard (fiancé Tricia) Empoliti, Jr., Norman (fiancé Missy) Grant, David (Jennifer) Grant and Heidi (Jason) Chappell; brother, William Empoliti, Jr.; twelve grandchildren, great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammy Empoliti. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 23rd at 2PM at Faith Riders Fellowship Church, 157 W Frontage Rd, Aiken, SC 29801. The family will receive friends Monday, January 22 from 5 until 7 PM at Shellhouse-Rivers Funeral Home, 715 East Pine Log Rd, Aiken, 29803.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
