Richard Glennis Shan Thompson

AIKEN, SC – Mr. Richard Glennis Shan Thompson, 62, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018, at his residence. Born in Hemingway, SC, Shan was a son of the late James Nathan and Sybil Altman Thompson. He is survived by his children, Angela Thompson Wester, Louisburg, NC, Sherry Thompson Mize, Charleston, SC, Michelle Thompson Morgan (Dennis), Biggers, AR; Roxanne Thompson Bloss (Paul), Charleston, SC; Candice Farrell (David), Cameron, NC. Matthew Russell, Aiken; grandchildren, Cory Wester, Alexis Arant, Dominic Arant, Shane Arant, Kaleigha Moore, McKenna Moore, Erica Mize and Mia Russell; sister, Susan Thompson Rogers (Terry), Summerton, SC; brothers, Stacy Thompson, Summerton, Kenneth Thompson, Hemingway, SC; many nieces and nephews and “special friend” Ronnie Cheatham. In addition to his parents, Shan was preceded in death by his infant brother Jimmy and nephews Jeremy and Joshua Rogers. The family will hold a private memorial service in Edisto Gardens, Orangeburg SC, Friday, October 19, 2018 at noon.
