AIKEN, SC – ROBERT MALCOLM BECKER, 90, beloved husband of Jean Stoebe Becker, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 following an extended illness.
A native of Pittsburgh, PA, Robert was the son of the late Maurice and Agnes Schwartz Becker. Bob was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps serving from 1952 until 1954, played on the Marine Corps Baseball Team as a “Birdcage Marine” stationed at Clarksville Base, Fort Campbell. Bob’s architectural appraisal career started in Pittsburgh with Industrial Appraisal for 22 years and then with American Appraisal in Princeton, NJ for 20 years. He retired to Aiken, SC in 1999 and was a life member of the James L. Hammonds Marine Corps League Detachment 939 and the Pittsburgh Steelers Club of Aiken.
Surviving, in addition to his wife Jean, include three children, Celestine Becker, Pittsburgh, PA; Robin Moyer, Melbourne, FL; Adam Becker, East Brunswick, NJ; and grandson, Brendan Moyer, Melbourne, FL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Larken.
