Robert Cansler, Jr.

Aiken - Robert Cansler, Jr., age 73, husband of Lindy Duncan Cansler, passed away on Saturday, Nov.  18, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 25, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 961 Trail Ridge Rd., Aiken, SC 29803.  Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. 

Robert leaves many cherished memories to his loving wife of 53 years, Lindy; his daughters Melanie (Patrick), and Alison; grandson Matthew; his mother, Margie Smith Cansler, Aiken; and many nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cansler, Sr., and his brother, Jon David Cansler.

He was a 1968 graduate of Aiken High, attended USCA as well as Aiken Tech before joining the Army Reserves.  He was a software engineer for 50 years, working as an IT Security Specialist. After many transfers, he ended his career with 28 years in the Boston area, retiring back home to Aiken.
