Aiken – Mr. Ronald Livingston Mitchell, 67, passed away Friday, July 1, 2022. Ronald was a lifelong resident of Aiken, and son of the late Coley Livingston and Hazel Roberts Mitchell. He was a Utilities Supervisor for the City of Aiken, and retired after 38 years of service. Ronald’s life impacted and touched the hearts if everyone he knew. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather “Pops” and friend. He loved the outdoors and simplicity and beauty of nature. He enjoyed life, traveling with his wife discovering and creating new adventures, wherever the path led them. Canoeing, fishing, and shrimping with his son, son-in-law, and brother-in-laws. His knowledge of history was phenomenal especially for his love of Aiken. He had a passion for music following performers from South Carolina to New Orleans. Ronald’s laugh and sense of humor were captivating and earned him the name from his friends “The King”. There will always be a warm and loving place for Ronald in the hearts of everyone that knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rebecca Mitchell; a daughter, Lindsay M. (Trevor) McCraw, Aiken; a son, Ryan (Amanda) Mitchell, Aiken; grandchildren, Ella McCraw, Adelyn McCraw, Delaney McCraw, Keaton Mitchell, Peyton Mitchell, and Kolton Mitchell; a brother, Coley Harold Mitchell, Aiken; a niece, Terry Hendricks; and nephews, Brian Parrish, and Keith Mitchell. A Celebration of Life for Ronald will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 9, 2022 in the Shellhouse Rivers Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Danny Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Aiken SPCA (www.letlovelive.org) A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, July 8, 2022, at SHELLHOUSE-RIVERS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 715 E.
